Introduction

The strata in J4 are divided amongst several phases, representing chronologically sequential moments within the same phase. The phase with highest level of strata division is h65 MZA, to which a large number of features belong. The strata is numbered 1 to 19 and then s49 for the Akkaddian phase, leaving enough sequenial numbers after s19, to accomodate further Mittani strata. There was no attempt to change the numbering to fit into JDP charts, However, a chart with the corrisponding latest MZA phases is provided, since J4’s phases were labeled based on the MZA chart of 2008.
