The monitoring project began in 2001 with the intention of providing a yearly documentation of the state of the walls in the Palace are. It was started at the suggestion of Neville Agnew and Martha Demas, who had come to Mozan for an inspection of our conservation efforts, and it has continued uninterruptedly ever since, all the way through since 2011 when excavations were interrupted.
