Stratigraphy

Phase 3p (Stratum 630) marks the end of active EDIII construction in this part of the mound. The components include a deteriorated layer, f184, containing late Early Dynastic ceramics which forms the top of the EDIII baqaya escarpment, ^esc2.
Although these features mark the end of the EDIII construction on this part of the temple mound, other covering deposits occur sporatically until the Mittani period, almost 1,000 years later.
