Stratigraphy
Phase 7c (Stratum 190) marks the first evidence of Mittani use of this area of the temple mound. However the transition is most unusual in that Mittani period accumulations directly overlay those of the Early Dynastic III period. Specifically, accumulation f256 contains a mix of ceramics from both periods. The accumulations above are Mittani, while the accumulations below are EDIII.
