Stratigraphy

Phase 7j (Stratum 161) is defined by the erosional effects on floors and escarpments. During and after storms water flowed north to south along the west face of the revetment wall and eroded the adjacent floors and accumulations. Erosion channel, f222, which cut soil lens, f218, provides a good example.

Because one would have expected the water to have flowed to the west off the mound, we suspect that there must have been a wall to the west of the revetment wall that acted as a channel to confine the water.
