Perhaps as a result of the considerable water damage that had affected the structures set in place a millennium earlier, a massive re-organization of the central sacral space took place in this phase. This is evidenced by the construction of Temple BA at the top; the extensive revetment wall, of which we have excavated so far the entire length of the southern face of the Terrace; the monumental staircase flanked by the primary apron.
