     Phase 9c comprises the post-abandonment soil layers just below those of Phase 9m and above the Middle Assyrian layers Phase 8m.
     In Stratum 50 the tell was occasionally visited for short periods by travelers and herders who left scant traces of their stay.
     In Stratum 60 the occupational periods, although short, were sufficiently substantial to allow for minor construction (a4).

Typology

     Ceramics and items from these layers are fully analyzed and cataloged. Pottery is from mixed phases. Most items are ubiquitous stone tools and clay artifacts.
